What is Home Systems Breakdown Coverage?

Home Systems Breakdown Coverage Covers direct physical damage to “covered home equipment” caused by a sudden and accidental mechanical or electrical breakdown.

What is covered?

All major equipment and systems attached to the home or other structure including personal property, home computers & entertainment systems, and electronic circuitry. The only requirements are that the equipment be covered property under Coverage A (Dwelling), B (Other structures) or C (Personal property) of the homeowners policy and uses/transmits energy or operates under vacuum or pressure.

What are some examples of Covered Home Systems?

Central air conditioning systems, furnaces and heat pumps, conventional and solar water heaters, electrical service panels, air and water filtration systems. The Home System Breakdown Coverage also covers appliances such as ovens and refrigerators.

Do I have to use a Network Contractor?

No. You select your own repair company.

Is there an age restriction on equipment?

No. Coverage provides protection for all covered equipment regardless of age.
